my picks
rob klurfield. this is just a great moment. the one outside the diner is cool too, but the one is closer to the action.
jbielikowski
this is my favorite of the week. it's so luscious in tonal gradation, so well lit and - critically - a pretty subject caught at an interesting moment. i really like the mona lisa half smile and the drape of the coat opposite the straight, glowing hair.
Peter^ - the light and lines in this one are compelling for me. the title is winter but it really could be almost any time of year with the green bit towards the horizon. the water reflection is wonderful.
sazerac - i'm sorry but this is made of nothing but win. charlie sheen could take awesome lessons from this kid.
lynnb - for color and construction. perfect.
also, thanks to lynn for the inclusion of my photo.

brainwood Southbank 2 is my favorite of these two. I think there is more mystery to it.

gb hill( Greg), thanks for each one of your posts today. I must confess that I had only seen one of your picks and I spend a lot of time here during the week. The picks are each superb and would have been a total loss for me!!!! Thanks again.

barnwulf, thanks for reminding me of this one. somehow it didn't make it into my saved list.

i got a great feeling from this one. it's got a whole 4pm on a summer afternoon thing going on. it's very well constructed and i adore the texture on the seatback. and yes, i'll have another piece of pecan pie, thanks.
thanks too to luiman

Here's my choices for this week:
ChEc, very cool, very strange, still wondering, super tones, I like it.
tbarker13, all the skaters legs going past the moment of falling of the skater and here expression make for a compelling photo. The pano presentation works well here.
Rimidal Rezole, that's some amazing light on those cattails as a foreground and a nice soft background pulls you into the whole thing.
SciAggie, a unique idea executed perfectly with the focus on the eraser. Reminds me of school day long gone by and not missed.
