I'm late, and some of those already picked I have to re-post as they are so good and I can't leave them out. As usual there are others I love already picked, that horse in particular, that I won't choose again.
bushwick1234 – Keith's comment was so apposite: an appeal beyond the obvious in this photo.

Alex Krasotkin: the colour, the composition, the timing, the light, the clarity, the stillness and the three dimensionality are quite arresting in this seemingly simple holiday snap. And as Alex said in the comments, his wife certainly didn't let the photograph down either.
DustyWalker: no comment necessary, but I was impressed by the exposure, mundane as that seems in the face of such a picture.

Here are my picks:
Stefanjozef, How could you not LOOK, the simplicity and composition help to make sure that happens. Well done.
Filmfan, I like how this just stands out capturing your attention.
Daveleo, a 10 for creativity.
Maiku, I like the composition and the blurred speeding lights add the dynamic of speed.
Arvay, like a B&W Mondrian with cloud reflections. Very nice.
Print44, a very well executed haunting image, wish it were mine.
Dustywalker, super light and background for a portrait.
Mlehrman, as i've said before for other similar scenes, my kind of winter shot, out the window. A lonely and cold scene.
Michel.roth, this has already appeared here and had a lot of comments, not much more I can add except I like it.
Kbg32, 2 photos 2 faces expressing the duality of peace and tension, they would make a nice diptych.
Richard G, love the perspective and detail in this, especially that patch of light at the top with the car entering it.

Thanks very much for the mentions. Been slammed this week, so I haven't had a chance to go through everything. But I have a hard time imagining that Print44's isn't my favorite:
