Kaniel's photo took my eye on a trip around the frame, starting with the pigeon. Then an interesting attention conflict between the poster and the person: we're naturally drawn to read the print, but there's also a strong instinct to follow the pigeon's gaze towards the person.

The jutting jaw, the tilt of the head, the casually drooping ciggy, the hands thrust in pockets, the stance, the strong zig zag of the fire escape.. and that poster girl as the perfect foil for all this macho-ness.. excellent shot Mike. Perhaps a James Dean admirer?
