Thanks Rob. It was interesting to see that grain elevator at the weekend, a few hours after I had made some similar shots. According to Wikipedia, here in Australia the word elevator is reserved for the mechanism. Pity, I like how the whole thing is called an elevator in the US. Haven't contributed for a few weeks, overwork.

My picks:
Barnwulf, can't quite explain it, I just like this. Long live B&W film!!!
joao, praiseworthy for the light, composition, and tone. Lisbon is a super place for shots like this with its wonderful light.
Bushwick1234, I've got this thing for bridge shots and particularly where there are rivets. That arched girder has it all, rivets, graffiti, and the added interest of the circle and triangle cutouts. All in all a totally cool shot.
Robklurfield, I agree with other comments about this, that it would make a nice book cover, certainly a print to be hung. More Divine Intervention than accident, I'm working on never admitting accidents, more like "I'll bet you didn't think I saw that."
Lawrence A., unique in that the part becomes greater than the whole. A message to the world greater than the thousand words photo are allegedly noted to convey. Another candidate for book cover of the month.
Kiev Ilegalac, I like it all, paving stone background, angry birds head covering, perspective, and the arms crossed attitude in her expression.

Richard (Semrich), when you find a way to turn my mistakes into willful intention and teach me how call it art, all I can say is a very, very humble thanks. Now, I have to come up with a topic for that book.

Keith, what I like about this is how you can, in your own way, enter into what she must be feeling. I like that.

Well, if I may be allowed to join in
Sazerac: an excellent and happy photograph
(this one I award the HCB prize
)
Motion_runner:
(architecture can be tricky to photograph, and this one is how you're supposed to do it - at least IMHO)
Keith:
- all you need is good light - and to know how to take a good photo
Hefring:
(strong portrait)
And my absolute favourite, a photo that swept me off my feet, by Keith
(haven't seen a photo that made me "Ah!" in a while, and I look at MANY photos almost every day. This one is an absolute masterpiece!)
Keith, could we arrange some kind of print swap? - although I doubt there'd be anything of mine that you might want
