thanks to lynn, harry and tony.
recommenting:
lynn, a little unsettling, and i'm eager to get my film back from the lab so that maybe there will be some more of the narrative
harry - that's what i like too. it was a complete screw up (camera set for 1/4000 instead of auto; turned out very ok)
tony - yeah. the superhighlight is a great thing when it happens. i'm thinking of moving into that part of barton springs for the rest of the summer. it's golden hour heaven.

Thanks everybody. I must admit that after posting four photos, three of them found their way to this tread, that alone makes me go out for more. I had this LOI syndrome (luck of inspiration) for quite some time, but you all help a lot by simple appreciation of my effort. Thanks again.

Late to the party... but here are my picks:
Rezinator. Have not seen this mentioned this week and I really liked it.
The rest has been mentioned already, but here they are in thumbnail form:
Lynnb -- the whole series is superb, had a hard time picking a favorite!
Walter Leporati -- I was tired of looking down at Apple, thanks for the fresh perspective
Joao -- very nice! Great atmosphere.
Direwolf101 -- not only it made me smile, but it really shows off that great lens!

The best camera is one that still works!
Thanks to those who mentioned my images.
photony has a new camera and is already wowing me with his doubles.
icebear ... I have to go against the trend and post this one. More mystery in it for me and her mood is less obvious.
MV72 ... wonderful square composition.
Walter Leporati ... Eerie photograph and incredibly insightful.
froyd ... this photograph makes me feel good everytime I look at it.
icebear again ... great candid portrait of a really interesting looking human being.
andy v ... my favorite for the week. It's all about connection for me. Between the two subjects and the way they connect with the image behind them with their body language. It's also a very nice black and white conversion.

I was looking through the submissions yesterday but could not find the above shot, which I like very much. Shows a sensibility to find a special perspective in something so common like a couple of metal benches, great shot by cfritze

thanks for the mention, ferider and icebear. "Shows a sensibility to find a special perspective in something so common like a couple of metal benches" - that's awfully generous, thanks. Or maybe it was simple desperation during a short break from the office, to find an image worth making!
