A phenomenal week. Again, hoping I've got the technical bit right, my personal favourites are
CarterofMars
Beautiful shot - reminds me of a George Tice (?) shot in B&W
zupstermix
Love the colours, gentle symmetry and out of focus text
gian
Something beautiful, summery and other worldly - as one of the commentators suggested, it does feel like a grab from a 60's music clip...
kozik
Lovely space and symmetry - the two girls, black and white, turned head towards centre, turned head away corner
jeicob
What is this photograph? It screams a life story in a shot
On another front, many thanks to Brad Bireley, semrich, Attwo, Todd.Hanz, gho, Keith, Lynnb and robklurfield for the mentions.
And any more of that, Keith, and I'll threaten to send you a print!
Cheers

Wow. So many nice shots! But ya gotta' like pigs by excellent. What a feast for the eyes. Pigs hanging from a truck, a chinese part of town, a chinese laundry, overcast day. Nothing missing.

so, in an inquiry into the creative process... jelico i don't know if you remember taking this picture, but if you do, do you see the guy in the background and include him intentionally? without the guy, it's good. with the guy, it's very good. with the guy OOF but not too much OOF, and at just the angle he's at, it's superb. or was it serendipity (something i find a lot in my photos), or perhaps the subconscious genius at work?

Well, yes I remember taking it, it was quite a recent one. I did see the guy, but he was in different pose than what it came out. But in all fairness I forgot that I have lens wide open, so basically it was a combination of what I wanted, what I had in hand and what was really happening in front of the lens. Time to take the shot was less than a second. So its definitely not subconscious genius at work
