Thanks Lynn, haempe for the picks. My picks are:
From luiman something very atmospheric:
From Simon, something Hitchcockian - very powerful and with a sense of real humour; I love this:
From Damaso - strong composition and the most luscious green:
And from ChEc, something really special:

Folks, thanks for the mentions.
Feeling guilty for having not had much time to post my favorites in several weeks and seeing lots of wonderful images already posted, I'm going to try to recognize a few that might have slipped by unnoticed. As always, the amount of talent on this site never fails to amaze me.

many, many more I could post to this thread this week, but I want to end by welcoming the work of a seldom (or is it never-before-seen) seen photographer in this thread. no, not the subject of the photo, but his lovely and talented bride. presenting Mrs. Paulfish (my gosh, she's not responsible for those frozen fish sticks, is she?)...
and, Paul's own shot

Okay - first try posting to this thread after lurking for a few weeks. First off, thanks to the people who posted my photos, Tigerphil, Robklurfield, and MV72.
Now my picks:
My favorite image of the week from ChEc
Two images from LynnB (it takes a lot of self control to not just add every photograph you post to my favorites)
From Luiman
