I like the frame position of the woman in the light and that there is so much to see in the frame.

Many thanks to Froyd, Rob, Paul, tigerphil, Jim, Richard, porktaco, Keith, ferider, photony texas, and Rogrund for the mentions and kind words - much appreciated!
The humanity and gentle humour in Simon's work always gets me
The shrine by scottsa. beautiful subject and light, and a befitting title
untitled by jukka. Nice composition, great light reflections, and effective split tone
Melissa in bulb mode by Mcary. Effective, really well executed.
Girl with Pearl by Photony texas. Nice reference to that Dutch painter. Wonderful rich rich tones. One of my all time favourite portraits.
S-bend by Koolzakumba. Classic composition, lovely light and tones.
Listening in by Bingley. Well seen & composed, and quite a comment on the reality of contemporary life!
barton springs film sept 01 by porktaco. There were several in this latest series I liked. This one captures the mood, and the motion.
botanical garden, moscow 2009 by FilMer. Shooting the shooter/painter - I like how this carefully composed photo itself resembles a painting, and we get to see the painter's view as well.
Off we go, a night is young by Kiev Ilegelac. Another excellent X100 catch by Alex.
