The flare is tolerable and actually grew on me and for me the the large puddle and reflections make this.

LYNN 2. I think I am in love. She has a beautiful soft smile that is also coming from her eyes. Wonderful soft light for this portrait. Very nice..
Walter Leporati
I like the repeating blank heads in this shot and the framing is nicely done.
luiman
The scene almost seems to be lit from the light coming from the white cloud. An intriguing image.
tigerphil
I like the shapes and textures in this shot that graphically combines the building and the tree for a very nice composition.
Instantclassic
Titled Decay. It almost look as if it were meiting as well. I love the textures and tones
Another from tigerphil
I like the strong graphics and the tones of this shot.
I will have more later. Jim

Melancholy
Wonderful solf light, simple shape and snow texture. Very nice.

The flare caught my interest and I think it fits with the light reflecting from the street and puddles. Very interesting shot.
lynnb
I liked Lynns series titled Easter Show. This one captures some of the excitement with the movement.
David67
I am not often a fan of vertical Xpan shots but this one really works for me.
BlackCamera~S.Smyth
I think this is nicely framed. I like the horizontal choice here. Nice sensual shape.
Frank Version Two
WOW. Powerful stuff here. Franks series with KT is a bit shocking or maybe disturbing. I think KT has a big career ahead of her in horror movies if her pictures get into the right hands. Amazing shots of her this week in Frank's series.
With that note I think those are my picks for this week. Jim

Can't help it, I'm a s*cker for pretty women and for Franks 'shockingly different' approaches. Both available in abundance in these two shots this week, gotta say I feel blessed

This has the quality of a stage set with nothing but a single chair. Soft light and simplicity with the fog and river bank. Just waiting. I really like the soft tonal quality of the fog.

Thanks Jim for the mention.
Frank has excelled himself in this portrait
Frank Version Two - Thug. Emotionally powerful, great lighting,
nksyoon - Lynn 2. close and level eye contact makes this feel quite intimate. I like the delicate skin tones and flattering angle.
Todd Hanz - Cowboy. Fantastic catch.
rogerzilla - Stump. Sweet child portrait, nice light, sympathetic background, beautiful bokeh.
Bobfrance - Libyans. Liked the whole series, but I chose this one for the eye contact and its powerful graphic simplicity
robklurfield - A Poor Thing. So many stories could be attached to this image, and that's what I like about it. The Summitar draws beautifully.
Jodorowski - untitled. Look into the depths and more and more detail reveals itself. This reminds me of paintings I've seen in AGNSW, rich in mood and the subtle play of light in nature's dark and mysterious places.
icrutcher - Beer Glass. A great eye for light. I like the composition and tonal treatment too.
photony texas - Hot Lanta. A blonde waiting in a bar - it doesn't get more iconic than that. The light from the iPhone makes it.
David67 - Untitled. Impressive graphic Xpan shot,
porktaco - austin mar apr 3. I'm not sure what's going on here, but it looks interesting!
BlackCamera-S.Smyth - Stretch. Unusual pose done very well.
Paul - Play Misty... What I like about this is the subtle hints of the river and trees on the far bank through the fog. The chair adds to the mystery.
chambrenoire - Having Fun. Exactly what kids should do. Cute, nicely framed, and the colour is very pleasing.

Life imitating art? There is definitely a Caravaggio like quality to this nicely caught image by Dark Horse.
