The best camera is one that still works!
Thanks to siracusa, Jim, functus and Paul for the mentions. It was nice for the little Fuji to get some recognition before it turned it's toes up!
jbeilikowski ... incredible light.
also very good by the same photographer.
and again!
RAZOR ... unusual angle.
rogerzilla ... I can feel the wind!
functus ... great perpective and I love the toes in the lower left of frame.
hteasley ... good use of wide.
andy v ... strange energy to this image. Compulsive viewing!
frank version 2 ... My top pic for the week because of the reaction it creates in me. I abhor violence ... particulalry in this situation. Bravo for posting this in the gallery frank!

First, my thanks and appreciation to hteasley and functus for picking my photos from the week, As others have said it's and honor to be included here.
And now for my picks this week:
slantface, great pose, soft and sultry.
Trooper, love all the colors and composition in this.
paulfish4570, seldom see color shots from Paul, and this is beautiful, good work.
mto'brien, excellent shot, it makes you want to keep coming back to it to question the circumstances of it.
functus, I like the feeling imparted with this, kinda makes you want to feel what it's like to be that young again. great composition and capture of the mid air action.
freeranger, this is one of the most unique "non-car show" photos I've ever seen with good composition and tones.
Jack Conrad, the facial expressions captured here raise this to another level complementing the car with its rich blacks.

Thank you Harry for the mention, it's an honour. I haven't had time to go through the gallery this week, but some of the photos I did get to see and liked are already posted above, particularly Rogerzilla's lovely child portraits (my favourites for the week), Jbielikowski's series (the girl and older gent on the bus seat in particular), slantface and dannynonon's portraits, agianelo's colour shot of the boy standing in the lake and two b&w photos I admire for their tonality, Elias K's kitchen and ChEc's diner on wheels.
Thank you to all for posting such interesting and inspiring work in the gallery.

A fantastic week this. Good things from many, Paul, Luigi, Chec, Lynn and not to mention Biel. But the two that really got me this week are both from Slantface:
These portraits are as good as they come. The lighting, the pose, the exposure. The second one is so expressive too, wouldn't look amiss on the front page of a mag. Lovely.

there were two that really jumped out at me this week
jbielikowski - i dunno. this is just fantastic. it's a great little moment and a transportative (my new favorite word) view. it's also wonderfully exposed, framed and bokeh-ed. this week's winner for me.
hteasley - i confess, part of the reason i like this is that i have a few very similar photos in my portfolio, and i like them very much. yeah, grocery stores are easy marks because of the structure and color, but it's hard to bring life to an environment that's been done a lot. which harry does very well.
