...soul, grit, mystery, everything about it screams...
"Not Your Everyday Picture" and thats why I pick it as my monday gallery choice.

I like it for the angle at which it was taken and the Tessar look.

The best camera is one that still works!
Thankyou very much to Leica M2 and Photony Texas for your kind words regarding my experimentation!
gho ... I was instantly reminded of Juliet Greco when I saw this. Pure energy here!
Cagliostro73 ... Ultra high key background makes this a stunner IMO.
Frank version 2 ... great portrait of a dynamic model despite the wrong choice of prop IMO ... it should have been black.
Peter^ ... intersting photo and I like the wide low perspective.
rdeleskie ... the figure dwarfed by the trees which fade into the fog ... what more could you want?
mario abuyabor ... definitely my top pic for the week. You can imagine what you want with this image .... the composition, balance and light are perfect IMO and the blur just makes it better.

3 from 36 on a good day.
So many wonderful photo's on this forum and I have not yet gotten into the habit of saving a link whenever I see a tantalizing photo for this thread .............. but this image quite simply burnt it's location into my brain. That must mean something!

Another terrific week in the Gallery. Here are my highlights:
This one from StefanJozef for its combination of tone and composition:
Taskoni's surreal dream:
Peon posted a wonderfully direct portrait whose contrast suits the subject:
LynnB's Nightswimmers for its story and fantastic painterly quality:
HTeasley's Morning Fog diptych. Beautiful.
Sleepyhead's portrait for being so timeless.
And Cosmonaut's Milliam Bridge. I love that the texture brings out the subject so well in this image.
Nicely done, all.
