apparently, alex is at the end of some kind of magic corridor through which pass the most mysterious and beautiful children in creation. or, perhaps, they just look that way through his camera. i thought the girl last week had a great camera/subject connection. this one is even better to my eye.

sometimes the most perfect things are the simplest. this is one of those things. there's really almost nothing here. a few lines, some light and some tones. and that's all it needs. the run of the profile, the eyelash, the nose and lip lining up with the windowframe, touseled hair. charcoal sketch on film. photo of the week for me.
