It's good you started this thread amd thanks for the inclusion of my Mc photo!
Here is what I found interesting in the gallery this week.
Not sure what happened here, maybe an accident or simply too much wind. Interesting photo, somehow disturbing but not too much. It could be the first scene fro a movie...
Well done, Anton Antonenko!
There is a real drama in this photo by Rhl-oregon. Powerrful, let us think about the meaning of life and not only. Thanks Robert for sharing with us suche a moment.
Again Rhl-oregon with a different mood, love the colours and the organisation of the frame !
It's almost imposible but Alex Krasotkin managed to photograph an already seen xx thousand times subject and make it interesting! So different from the many touristic snaps (mine included!). The light, the lens brings this photo to an upper level! And of course the photographer, well done Alex!
A little bit of graphic, a little bit of mystery in this photo by Axel
A little of geometry, a little of material, a good light in this simple but effective image by Mlehrman. I guess a print in the hands must be a satisfaction...
Escher style in this image by Guy Pinhas, love the graphic look enhanced by the B&W treatment!
Thart2009 gives us a special view, love it!
I see a solitary person on this beautiful beach photographed by Lynn. Good tones from the T-max 100!
And now some colour! Love how this photo is divided inthree areas with strong colours and different patterns. Bravo Bike Tourist, well done!
Again Bike Tourist with his "patterns". Love the yellow!
ALberti's special photo which leaves space for our imagination to work...great!
For sure there are other good and inspiring photo in the gallery. I'll come back later in the week to see what I have forgotten!

Thanks Mlehman and Robert for selecting, posting and commenting regarding the photos above. That takes work and time and thought.
I think all the photos above are worthy of the picks.
But That effort is work.
Could the gallery have an easier way to enter photos, possibly a separate box to check that links to a smaller gallery of picks. Or would this spoil the worthiness of the picks?
Alex K: Beautiful

Robert's abstract Polaroid image is great.
Venice! by Alex. What a great atmosphere. The B&W rendition adds to the magic.
Life and sadness by RHL. A great impact image, Robert.
Lynn has several winners this week, and I happen to have chosen this one:

Thanks Raid for inclusion of my Mc Polaroid in your selection!
The thread has not many contributors
so trying to keep it alive I add one more image, a beautiful photo which could be on the cover of a fashion magazine: "Vaporetto" by Alex Krasotkin.
I have been many times in Venice and can make sure it is not easy to photograph without falling in the usual clichés. Alex is very good in using the special light and find his own view !

I agree 100% with what Robert has said above. I have been several times to Venice, and I tried my best to capture images that do not like postcards. Alex has here a wonderful image. What many photographers focus on (canal and gondolas), Alex left as a OOF backdrop. Very cool.
