mudride's wonderful portrait is my favorite shot of the week:

jesse1dog
Light Catcher
Mlehrman - Blue strap.
Mlehrman - Blue strap.
- a stolen picture in many ways. Would the woman have let the photo be taken if she had known her strap was showing?
And to capture that colour so vividly in what is nearly a black and white photo! Great photo.

By the look of the picks so far, I don't have to justify why my first few picks are all girls. I'ts the photographers' fault.

many thanks to JayDecker, Richard G and Luigi for mentioning my photos.
My favourite was Kvinnan jag alskar, by Mudride. Such a sweet and tender capture of the look of love.
Mr. T, by direwolf101. Mr T's personality grabbed my attention.
Egon mit Radfahrergruppen, by MRohlfing's father. A fascinating look back in time to everyday life in 1930s Germany. Less formal and comprehensive than, but reminding me of August Sander's brilliant series. What strikes me is how people dressed up to present themselves well to the world, in contrast to the common habit of casual dress nowadays.
Miss Pea Swinging, by Jay Decker. The exuberance of youth, captured with an interesting viewpoint
6th Avenue, by Mlehrman. Great street shot. Love that expression on the chap on the right.
Lena II, by Arvay. Mysterious and a bit foreboding, the maiden's glance suggests apprehension about what may be following her... (perhaps it's a stalker with a GX). I liked the tonal cues to depth, in addition to the dof cues.
another of Arvay's portraits - Darya. Words not necessary.
Glynallyn Castle Gardens, by Rob Klurfield. Interesting subject, depth, lovely light, and tonality.
the bridge, by Print44. Beautiful study in light, texture and composition.
**, by Keith. Captures the imagination - I liked the comment: 'porthole to Fairy Land'. Lovely tonality.
another of Keith's RD-1 shots - I liked this for its composition, tonality and depth
Gabriela, by Crazy Fedya. This little lady would steal anyone's heart. Delightful photo by Sam.
tram 3, by dotur. Ivan's candid photo in a tram is much more than just a snapshot. Beautiful and timeless.
