'Gallery Picks' is just a bunch of us giving a heads up to what we have seen during the past seven days at RFF that we like.

There's no membership requirement, no criteria (except past seven days), no voting, no limit to the number of photos we mention, and everybody mentioned is a winner.

Anybody can start the thread on a Monday morning.

Anybody can join in.

What an amazing fantastic photo from IZr.

It just jumps out of the thumbnails.

The light, the color, and the subject. All one hundred percent.

Just one from a great series of autumn fair pictures. Now I'm waiting for the spring fair!

I agree with rxmd...

1. Pictures on the front page - maybe a Gallery Pick of the Week instead of Top Old News Items
2. Stop forum inflation - it already makes things more difficult to find!
3. Fix the search function

More great shots this week, although we lost some of my personal favourites about 7 days ago. This will take a few postings, so Ill put 'em down in bunches of five.

How do you learn to spot that kind of thing?

The arrangement of the people is great and makes a great photo, but the color is wonderful and makes a wonderful photo.

Did it really happen like this with a very limited number of saturated colors?

Great composition, I love the inverted triangle created by the white buildings in the background.

Enigmatic and engaging.

There is so much going on in this deceptively simple shot. I'm not one for hyperbole, but this is one of my favourite shots in the whole gallery.

I used to live around lads like this (and the urban cowboys from the same series). This one shot encapsulates so much!

I must get on with some work now.
