Jon, maybe you ought to PM one of the mods, I was wondering why this suddenly became a photo project thread too.
 
iml: Thank you for that mention. This is the second time a a couple of weeks that a photo I thought about not even posting has been mentioned.

In this case (Music and Crossword) I nearly didn't upload because I didn't like the shadow across the guy's face.

I wouldn't worry about the shadow, it is a really interesting shot! :)

Does the old lady play Sudoku?

Thank you femto. It's just that some people view technicalities above content.

I remember a guy who photograped a gay pride event. He wrote very movingly about how much outside his normal envelope it was and what an impact it had made on him. Then some idiot posted a comment asking him what f stop or what developer he'd used or something equally bizarre. Crazy and insensitive in the extreme.

Well, moving this thread here from the general discussion has pretty effectively decimated the interest for it... :(

Jon, I looked for this thread and your name at the beginning of the week. I saw nothing and wondered what had happened. You might have seen my comments thru the week on various photos however when I didn't see your 'usual thread' I assumed you didn't start one.

Wrong. I guess this place is not all that charged up about photography. LoL...I think I'll start a thread "piece of equipment of the week" that will probably be more appropriate than those bothersome photographers and their "captures"

Gallery Picks is new to me... I'll have a look

I'm laughing here, so where are we on this thread. Does it stay here and we add to it each week or start a new one in some yet to be agreed (by the mods) location at RFF. I've just about quit posting shots at RFF for this reason alone, the search and find mission each week is wearing my determination down.

Sometimes I have the thought that the rest of RFF thinks... "Those darned photographer types want to use their equipment and look at photographs.. I just don't understand."

C'mon mods.. give us/this thread a permanent home in a logical place in RFF. You can do it! ;D
