Thanks for the mentions of my photos, very much appreciated.
I missed seeing Bianchi fixie by Howarthp - what a good photo.
Photos I liked this week:
In the Luminous Brooding by robklurfield. Light painting with street lights. I liked the use of negative space to give drama and mood.
Road to Craigowl by Koolzakukumba. Bruce keeps posting the most amazing pictures!
East 6th Street by Mlehrman. The figure could come from another time, adding mystery to the modern city life of the figure in foreground.
Ovan staden när hösten kryper på by mudride. I liked this for its mood. Hitchcock comes to mind..
Untitled by Michael.Roth. I liked the low POV, great expression, composition, and the wild background. Outstanding street shot.
Fence by Joao. I wasn't sure if it's a fence or a gate in the foreground, but it has character and I liked the shadows cast by the stakes, and the lines leading zig zag to the horizon. Nice tonality and grain.
his master's bike by dotur. An Erwitt moment!
Untitled by zeshootist. Interesting expression and the lighting, skin tones and contrast give this portrait plenty of punch.
Untitled by Semrich. Great reportage shot. The two boys are in their own world, apparently oblivious to the camera.
Parking Lot Wall 6 by barnwulf. I learn a lot by studying Jim's eye for line, shape, shadow and composition.
