thanks Richard.
my favourite this week was this wonderful classical portrait by RomanV. Simply beautiful.
Field, Blairgowrie by Koolzakukumba. I could easily have posted any of Bruce's photos here. The beautiful light, pictorial depth and luscious texture on the crop made this photo my favourite.
Tank Trucks 2 by Barnwulf. Who would have thought that two truck hoses could look so stunning? Jim's eye consistently picks out details that delight the eye, with a meticulous attention to composition.
Copenhagen #5 by Rogrund. The serene bride in the centre has lost her head, while the other two pout and strut in victory.
I also liked Copenhagen #1, but I'm sure others will mention that.
#2 by Strangeluv. I liked the dramatic low POV and the feeling of being in and low to the water, the splashing wave conveys the forward motion.
Unspeakable '12 by tigerphil. Dark, moody, perhaps apocalyptic - like a bad dream.
img941 by marduk. A slice of life, the children bring youthful energy while the adults have a more leisurely pace. Lovely tonality.
mOnO mAn by photony texas. I liked this striking abstract image, even if it was accidental.
metal by Richard G. I liked this composition in lines, shapes and tones.
Eola Sunrays by raphaelaaron. Beautiful mood and light - and model.
So this dog walks into a liquor store... by Mlehrman. Mike's shot reminds me strongly of Elliott Erwitt. I also admired the composition, notice the diagonal line connecting the flower pot at one end and the pedestrian's head at the other.
My Mom by gb hill. More than a deeply personal portrait and touching story, the dignity of her gaze held me.
untitled by semrich. Two great dog photos in the one week...
My friend Lindsay by Uncle Bill. Lovely warm informal Plus-X portrait.
Barcelona Girls by Elmarman. Great catch with the expressions.

untitled by jukka. What an interesting crowd shot, so many different expressions. I liked the light and depth, too.

Too many great shots to mention, as usual. This week I promised to really confine myself to a handful of mentions, but I could not help smile at this series...
great minds think alike? alike minds think great?
paiulfish (channeling Petronius?), Brainwood, Nicolai, Lawrence A., barnwulf
lynnb -- I thought brigitte bardot was older
Koolzakukumba - WOW! Two amazing entries!
Jonathan - speaks to us all who have kids this age in our lives! A splendid capture not just of a moment but a time of life.
Photony Texas - Next time set a higher shutter speed, but this time you get a pass

for me
malvin
nice combination of directional light and silhouette. pretty shadows and a thoughtful subject.
raphaelaaron
just straight up pretty.
mlehrman
i love the curvature of the boy against the bricks, and the detail at the left margin make it not-a-postcard.
elmarman
somewhere, on that boat, there is a roller disco. IT IS XANADU.
koolzakumba
there were about ten photos of his that i wanted to put up this week, but i went for just the one. i will say that all of the photos i've seen in the last couple of weeks from K have been magical and spectacular and have made landscapes interesting without being too clever. this is hard.
romanv
my photo of the week. glamour shot from whichever silver screen decade you want. perfect focus, glorious detail, wonderful exposure.
