Gallery Picks is an opportunity for you to post a heads up to what you have seen during the past seven days at RFF that you like.

There's no membership requirement, no criteria (except past seven days), no voting, no limit to the number of photos mentioned,
and everybody mentioned is a winner.

Anybody can start the thread on a Monday.

I actually saw a pic in the gallery that has encouraged me to get off my jaded, photographically complacent ar$e and post something here. First time in a while I'll add!

There is nothing I don't like about this photograph ... I love the light, the sense of place, the collection and placement of objects ... some only partially revealed within the frame. The composition couldn't be better for me and I find myself wanting to know what type of human occupies this space but also realising that a large part of this image's attraction for me is not knowing!

Bravo thart2009 ... you have made my week! :)

On a roll now so I might as well keep going:

This is my second choice for the week from Dotur ... it makes me think of the Industrial Revolution which is pretty much where all our current problems began. It also triggered memories of the excellent movie 'Metropolis' by Fritz Lang for similar reasons.
