This thread is slowing down, as it usually does at this time of the week.
Did people appreciate the one line comments?

I always enjoy this thread, and follow it every week, but as an observer rather than as a participant. From that vantage point, I would say that the short explanations for why participants liked a particular shot is helpful and a good addition.

i also appreciate. i'm usually too busy to sift through the gallery on a regular basis so i really appreciate those who post the outstanding photos that they've noticed in these weekly posts.

I think if you have the time to add one-line comments, then fine, but I think the photographer would prefer to see the one line comments in the comments field for the photo. We used to put a link to this thread in the comment field of the photo, as well. That was a nice touch. On the whole this thread needs participants and most people don't have the time to simply post a link, much less have the added pressure to compose a reason why.
I've taken to only posting the vaguest of information. I want the photo to get the clicks, for people to get into the Gallery.

An innovative way of making a print from two negatives. Really stunning.
Thanks for the mention, and I'm pleased that you liked it.

Thanks Jon and Tony for the mention.
A special thank to Jon for keeping this thread alive. I've been very lazy these weeks ...
Anyway, these are, among many good others, my favourite photos from 2 weeks ago.
