i like so many things about this. there aren't any people in it so it's breaking my #1 rule again, but it's a very compelling geometric and natural combination. plus, who the hell ever sees a dock half underwater with a big rug on the rail?

warm glorious color, great moment with the subject and water. oh, and a boobie peek.


doomster

this whole series was pretty powerful. i think this was the best of a very good bunch.

i sort of had this idea that someone had chicken-winged some poor old lady's arm off and left it hanging on a couple of chairs. very, very engaging.

really gentle and beautiful, and it takes you to a room with a bunch of dust motes floating in the afternoon sun.

as a nearly-native new yorker, i adore this photo. so many passages over the bridge were like this for me, but none with this precise clarity and construction in the moment.

a wonderful take on a well-worn subject. the deliciousness of the female form. very delicious.

SimonSawSunlight - berlin 2011. What an attention-grabber. Intriguing.

filmfan - Snowed In, 2. A sensual, lover's view. Nice Macbook, too.

Jack Conrad - Rear View. Delightful study of the female form.

Todd.Hanz - Between. I liked this for its composition, light and shade, and repeating patterns

Steve Kessel - Charlotte & Percy. A live soap opera!

ChEc - p91274714. Great light, and atmosphere.

tedwhite - Lauren. I thought the lighting and direct, good humoured eye contact with the viewer lifts this portrait well above the commonplace.

Katie - First roll through the Bessa R4A. Children do this everywhere, and that's why it's one of my favourites of the week. Nice light.

Paulfish4570 - Intimate (1). Lovely study in soft tones and glowing light.

Bike Tourist - Railroad Enclosure.

Bingley - Telegraph Ave. Lots to look at in this piece of street theatre.

j.scooter - untitled. Lovely colour and composition/design.
