Gallery Slow to Load?

Has anyone else had problems accessing the main gallery page? For me it is MUCH slower and problematic to load than the forum page. A lot more often than not, after it does "load", I have to click refresh several times just to get a normal view of the page. :bang:

This is the only site where this is happening.

I have not tried to upload to the gallery but was wondering if the site in general was very slow in loading or if it was my PC/internet connection. Seems that there is a problem.

The Gallery is very slow for me too. So is the forum page, but the Gallery is far worse.

:bang: :bang: :bang: Is anyone else having these page loading issues? I'm on broadband, and have no problem with any site loading, except RFF's Gallery front page.

there is a lot of data and queries taking place. i can reducse number of photos shown to increase performance.

I'm surprised that it's not an issue with others (which makes me wonder if it's just my setup), my last visit over to the gallery I had tried to refresh 5 times to get the page to load, before giving up.

i uploaded only one photo earlier and had no problems.

Photo uploads are no problem; loading the front page, is the problem. I get everything around the edges, just nothing "inside," like the images, comments, random photos, etc.

Thanks. That's why I posted the thread originally, to find out wtf is going on. If it's on my end of things I can deal with that—I just need to know. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂

i'm not saying there is no problem as it seems slow for a few others as well.
i sometimes also experience periodic slow downs here, just not today.
