Gamma Rays & Digital Sensors

Anyone following the web discussion on the effects of Gamma Rays on digital sensors in air travel (above 20,000 feet)? Figital revolution, if you follow him, posted a link to a video by an engineer at a discussion. You can also catch his lecture by searching the net. In effect he stated that Gamma rays will cause lines of pixls to die.

Oh no! Digital seemed to make air travels more enjoyable than with film.

I looked at a few articles not long ago, thinking about Hot Glass lenses on Digital cameras.

Apparently, they are much less susceptible to damage than you might think.
