Garage sale buy this morning

Hmmm, sounds like Creeping GAS.

Def'n: The situation in which GAS leaks very slowly; manifested as small, incremental purchases.

You're a bad example for the rest of us!

Give-away deals and small stuff doesn't count. I used to buy ANY camera that was a good deal. Now I can walk away from everything except great deals on the good stuff.

You need to make a list of the cameras that you are looking for so that when you buy something else you could put it on the list and it would be ok.

Frank: Your GAS inspiring garage sale postings will drive me to ... garage sales!

I've got that list in my head, Steve. :)

Also this morning, for 25 cents, a Nikon AF P+S with 28mm lens, that takes AA batteries.

Last Saturday it was the Rollei, this Saturday I found a Rotel RA-84oBX4 integrated stereo amp for $5.

Today I saw a Leica for five bucks. I talked them down to three,
but it was just an old screw mount so I didn't take it... ;)

Rats. Whenever I go to garage sales all I find is junk. I have too much junk. My junk is usually better than garage sale junk. I've been to two recently: Really misused and abused OLD Canon FL SLR stuff. The only thing of interest was a 50mm macro with 25mm extension tube. It was not the mint S.S.C. version that I purchased new in 1975. It looked like it had been used for a puck during the Stanley Cup games. The sale before that, I found a BNIB Velbon tripod. I was interested enough to open it. A video head. The nerve!

I never find anything even as good as stuff I already have. Rats!

about the only garage sale deal I've found recently was a 1946 Decca Records Al Jolson box set on vinyl for $4 in near mint condition

Lats week I stopped at a yard sale where this guy had a couple of Vivitar 283's in decent shape...I left them there...I already have three...
