RFF members,
Although relatively new to the forum, I used rangefinders earlier in my photographic career and am now getting back into them.
A few weeks ago I stumbled quite accidentally onto Jim Arnold's videotaped interview of Garry Winogrand by Bill Moyers. I had Garry for art photography classes while I majored in Photojournalism at the University of Texas. Anyway I hadn't thought about Winogrand for years but that videotape sure brought back some interesting memories.
I emailed Jim to thank him for putting that inteview on the internet and he emailed back asking me to post any stories I might have from Winogrand's classes. I have done just that, and have also included some never-before-seen shots of Garry during the classes.
To keep the photo resolution fairly decent, I kept the photos fairly large and have imbedded the .pdf file on my site. It takes a minute or two to load the file. I invite any comments on the article.
To read the article, go to my Web site and click on the link at the top:http://www.ocgarzaphotography.com
And thanks for a great forum everyone.

Thanks for letting me know Simon, sorry you are having problems. I will try to set up a link to the article (instead of embedding it - perhaps that might help??) somewhere on my site in the next day or two.

Simon: had the same problem on my Mac (10.3.9) and Firefox. I fired up Safari instead, and that worked without a hitch.Simon Larby said:Welcome to the forum O C Garza and thank you for the link to your site - unfortunately despite downloading the latest version of Adobe reader i cannot access your page with the PDF download link? Two ways to now access the Winogrand pdf file!
Sorry for the problem with Mac users and the embedded pdf file. :bang:
1. I have posted a LINK to the PDF file at the bottom of my home page.
2. The link at the top of the page is the same file but it is EMBEDDED into my site.
Keep in mind its about a 7mb file so it takes a while to down load the whole thing whether you use the link or the embedded file.
I appreciate the kind words about the story. Home page is www.ocgarzaphotography.com

That was a very enjoyable read O.C. Well done. It took me back to my first photography course. My instructor, a Texan in her fifties, also invited me to her home. She said she wanted me to take photos of her in a robe she had designed. We were sitting behind her desk at the time, reviewing my photos. She had her hand on my thigh. I didn't go. Only now do I wish I had. I might have some great shots...

Galavanter,
As young photography students, sometimes we don't recognize genius or a chance to take some nudes.
