Garry Winogrand's Unseen Color Work

Saw this on Eric Kim's blog, a link about the color work of Garry Winogrand. Looks to be kodachrome slides. Very nice work.

Nice to see these (thx for the link). "Winogrand 1964" (ed. Trudy Stack) also includes quite a few colour photographs from that year alongside some of his most well-known b&w work.

1964 is a collectors item now. Had both colour and b+w work from Winogrand. I have some shots from it somewhere, if only I could remember on which hard drive... it was shot on Kodacrhomes.
Not sure if among those undeveloped rolls he left behind there was some colour film. It'd be a shame if he left undeveloped Kodachromes....

Looks like Gary is holding a Nikon F or a Nikkormat in the second image, his reflection in the mirror.

Thanks for that link. There are several there that I haven't seen before. Very cool.

Stelios, I think all of the color work he did was from early on (60's). Reasons he gave for giving it up were both the cost and the high contrast of the materials.

I'd go watch it, but listening to Eric Kim's fake enthusiam and awkward accent is just too much for me. So, I make a choice to no longer listen to him.
