GAS attack for the X100

I was hoping that it would be like picking up a classic RF in its usage

My X100 has worked flawlessly and the transition from my M3/4/6TTL to X100 is minimal. What the X100 isn't... It isn't a manual focus camera..period. You can do zone focus, but it really isn't a full manual focus camera. The autofocus is good but not ultra fast, but requires getting to know the camera. Good autofocus single shot, but not for continuous focus..just perfect for someone coming from rangefinder. What I like about the autofocus is that you can shrink the size of the focus rectangle, so that you can make sure that the eyes are in focus. It is really quiet. It flash syncs at all speeds, but you don't care so much about that. The files looks great and the RAW has a great deal of adjustment latitude. It is solidly built and fun to dress up. The X100 will be a classic digital camera, but if you want a rangefinder, it is not. Classic controls.. yes.
