I picked up a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex Super BC at my local camera shop for $49.00. Everything works, except for the light meter. (Light meter?! What light meter? We don't need no stinking little light meter!) I am a total pushover for a certain kind of Zeiss camera: beautiful shiny chrome-plated brass and lots of dials and buttons to play with.:bang: From what I've read about it so far, it is definitely an oddball SLR, but I've found the fun factor to be right up there with the best of them. And I think it will take good pictures. Fun and good pictures! What else does an amateur photographer need?

I will add more to this post when I get the first roll back, and I may even be able to post something as well. Wish me luck on posting, though. It will be my absolute first time at it.

With best regards.

There is something magical about these cameras. I think it is the unusual and rather old fashioned look (compared to the Japanese SLRs we are all so used to) as much as anything. But I admit to liking the super hard satin chrome which is almost bullet proof and the quiet functioning.
