I just had a GAS attack.

I tried to resist.

I was weak.

I gave in.

I will soon be the owner of 2 more FSU cameras. Not rangefinders though, but still fun non-the-less.

Oh, I can hear you asking "what is he talking about?"

I just won an auction on that auction site for 2 Zenit SLR's. One is a standard Zenit-12 with Helios 44-M and the other is a complete FS-12 kit with the Tair 300 and Helios 44-M. I am going to have fun with this one. If I ever get the chance to take photos at a large gathering or display, I will use the FS-12. I may even try to adapt the design of it to my 300D to see if I can meke a FS-Digi just for fun.

How about calling it "Digi-sniper"?

I've just bought a Mir24, a 35/2 m42 lense. There isn't much mention of this lense anywhere, will have to try it out. I've also got a Pentax SMC 28/3.5 on the way as well.

Thanks guys. These will be my second and third Zenits. My other one is a Zenit-B from 1971, which just happens to be the year I was born. I am loving the feel of it, so simple and yet so damn solid. Feels nothing like my first SLR, or my second or third either (Canon T050 and T-70's respectively) which were made of plastic and now that I have experienced these solid cameras (Zenit, Praktica, Yashica, Fujica) feel cheap and nasty because they are so light. The heavier bodey's also seem to be easier to handhold at lower shutter speeds too.
