GAS: Lenses or bodies?

So, which strain of GAS afflicts you the most? Body acquisition or lens acquisition? Or is one a mutation of the other? And what happens when the body strain of the disease crosses with the lens strain and you end up getting both at the same time? Does your susceptibilty to the body variant decline over time or do you find you get the same strain time and time again?

Currently I seem to be suffering from the body variant, although the latest attack includes both as the body came with a lens 😱

I am a pluralist when it comes to GAS, it afflicts me in all sort of ways, you see - be it for bodies, lenses, cases, straps, film, developers etc.etc. However I am trying to keep it at bay when it comes to bodies. I shop very carefully, almost prudently, knowing that I may sell them one day for something else, and that they do not hold their value well. But when it comes to lenses I give my GAS full reign - these are again items that I may sell one day but I am more secure in their holding up their relative resale value.

I'm with Alkis. Satisfying body GAS (why does that sound so bad???) will be done very carefully. As I have yet to move back into the M body world, I have wide-open choices. My plan is to go with two bodies, and right now my thinking is:

Bessa T
&
Leica M5
--or--
Zeiss Ikon

I will admit, the T because of its ultra cool look and for a rig that is well-suited to fast wide-angle shooting. And it can serve as a backup to the other body.

The ZI offers arguably the best VF in M-dom, but the M5 is just so attractive due to its construction and some of the ergonomic features.

After that, it's focus on the glass. I am not really concerned about resale value, as I see the gear as permanent acquisitions. With two bodies and about 4 lenses, my gas will be extinguished. I swear.

Both, but the lens strain is more virulent. I just want one more body (or maybe two), but I can think of three lenses I'd very much like to have. No, four. Five?

for rf gear though, i feel complete, even with wanting the 50/1.5 sonnar as i will eventually end up with only one 50.

I am gassing for the 35/1.2 and the R4M, I will admit to more gas for lenses than for bodies
