Gear Swap--RF for DSLR

This morning I found a nice Lowepro bag on my chair at work. Inside is a Canon 5D, 17-40L, 50mm f1.4, 24-105L and a 580 flash.

Nice way to start the day.

The director of my facility plays a bit at photography. Lots of sucess, lots of money for toys, and very little time to shoot with them would describe him best...plus, he's a heck of a nice guy.
He was interested in my new rangefinder gear, so I proposed that we do a gear swap. Yesterday, I gave him my R3A with 21mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm CV lenses. Today's bundle on my chair is his end of the deal.

I've borrowed his 5D before. Nice step up from my 300D. I'll have a fun weekend with it.
We'll see if I can get him hooked on rangefinders and film.

The 5D is a great camera as well as the 17-40 and 24-105 lenses. I'll be doing a portrait shoot tomorrow with mine, of a small custom bicycle builder for a webzine. I'll be taking my M8 as well. Have a fun weekend Steve. It'll be interesting if he gets the bug.

How long is the swap for ?

I would love a 5D.....will have to settle for a XT, XTi or 20d. Depends on how much I can save plus selling my D60 with Vert Grip

That is one great trade. I've a 20D right now but would kill for a 5D.
I'm trying to get my parents to buy me a 24 f/1.4L for my birthday next month, I can't wait to hold that beast!
