Some of you may have noticed that GeneW hasn't posted for a few days. I had sent him an email yesterday, and he replied this morning; I just read it a few moments ago.

Gene had a heart attack and had an angioplasty. Needless to say, I was shocked and concerned. I replied and gave him all my phone numbers.

I don't know any more details, other than he got back this morning and replied to my email at 11:56 AM, shortly after getting back. I don't know if/when he'll be back posting here.

But I'm sure we'll all be supporting him in our thoughts and whatever way we can. RFFers in T.O., I'm sure, will be available in any way.

FWIW, not only is this board filled with great folks, but Gene is, to me, very special. He is the prototypical "kind soul", and I was really looking forward to seeing him on the weekend of the 18th. That will have to wait, of course.

I don't know what more to say. Get well Gene, and hurry back to your RFF family.

Unbeknownst to me, Gene started a thread earlier today; for some reason it didn't show in "new posts" this evening when I hit the site. So check out that thread, too; sorry for the duplicate thread!
