Right you are, in the sense it was manufactured there. But no M4-2, and there would be no more Leica's, German or otherwise. Consider the picture removed. 😉

Thanks. I like the Tenax alot overall: the lens has a very nice signature (although flares badly if direct sunlight is just outside the frame), and the camera is very solid. The rangefinder patch is clear and easy to focus, although I cannot compose a picture with my eyeglasses on, and the viewfinder is a little dim (as many of these 1930s-1940s Zeisses are).

I like the Tenax II enough that I recently bought a second one on impulse, and when I got it home I noticed that it has a PC socket for electronic flash, which I can only think was a latter modification as electronic flash didn't exist when the camera was first made (I believe). But the job is so professional looking that it doesn't look like a camera hack either.

Anyway, the 24x24mm square is really lovely. Once I scan a few more negatives from the Tenax II, perhaps I'll start a new thread with Tenax II images only.
