Really? I don't think that Jaap's statement was either reactionary or condescending. As I see it, he was simply expressing the uselessness of going through contortions of shooting RAW instead of DNG when the DNGs are not being compressed. If there are any advantages to shoot in the "factory debut mode," they are not stated in this thread.

In any case, I don't see the need for name calling, i.e., "reactionary" and "condescending."
