Took a while, but, I think I'm gettin' the hang of it with the new S3 2000...

First roll was a test of BW film and I just couldn't quite get the workflow down. The second roll was in color for various subjects...lab even liked the Christmas tree photo saying it was the best they have seen this year! They also marvelled at the DOF wide open...

Sooo...one more test roll of BW and then I get serious! Tri-X 400 and T-MAX 3200...

This camera is addictive!

It's been a long time since I used 3200 film with a Nikon RF. The TMax 3200 of the mid-1990s was alway too contrasty for me. Don't know if it has changed. The main time I used it was for really dark interiors when I knew I'd be shooting primarily with the Biogon 21/4.5 or the Nikkor 28/3.5.

I do find the S3 to be an addictive camera. I bought an original S3 almost 20 years ago, and it almost instantly became my daily user. The S3-2000 was fantastic in that regard ... a brand new S3 complete with the one of the finest 50mm lenses ever made.

Hi, Vince!

Funny how I find myself sitting around listening to classical music or thr occasional Golf Channel event while holding the S3 2000 and practicing focusing, etc.

It IS addictive.

And then I pick up the F3/T with the pancake lens and it seems soooo advanced.

Man, I wish I had an original S2 or S3 to compare with but I am gettin' the hang of it.

Well, it's not the Tri-X yet since it has not arrived, but I like it:
