I love the look of these (mostly) Polaroid photos by Carla Fernández Andrade:

Wondering how I might achieve this sort of look using 35mm film and some Photoshopping. They have a richer look probably because they are actual Polaroids than the tacky "Polaroid look" sort of effects but was thinking the right sort of film (expired negative film, cross processing?) and some minimal manipulation might do it rather than embarking on a search for a Polaroid and the expensive film that implies. Don't shoot digital so a pure digital solution wouldn't work for me.

The first one looks interesting. The Poladroid thing was what I was trying to avoid. I don't need it to be too literal with the borders and all.

I'm looking for a subtle manipulation, coming mostly through the film if possible with a bit of tweaking in photoshop. No cheesy borders or anything, just the overall tone.

Think I'll try that first set of Photoshop actions. That way I can dissect it and take what I want and leave out the cheesy boarders and such.

Thanks.
