Sometimes! B&H is listing a super deal, but no stock yet and no arrival date - see http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/768216-REG/Ilford_1169959_HP5_Plus_135_36_Black.html

I'm in Sydney and would be interested in a group buy on HP5 if the price was good. Probably keen on maybe 20 rolls...

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a assorted bulk load from B&H. So I'm interested to share any postage. I've done similar with ChrisN in the past. Chris?

I'd be in, for a couple of bricks of FP4Plus (and perhaps some other stuff). I'm a bit geographically indeterminate right now (home is Sydney but I'm working in Melbourne, and that's looking a little more long-term than I'd planned), but I'm sure I could even run to organising it if nobody else is placed well to do it. Let me know if "the collective" wants to draft me.
I'm still in, either way.

BTW, any Sydneysiders going to the camera fair next week in Glebe. I went for the first time in July with ChrisN and had an enjoyable pick through the bargains before lunch at Darling harbour. Anyone else interested. Are you making the trip from ACT again Chris?

I've been thinking about bulk loading. I just calculated the following into freestyle:
100ft of HP5+ = $52
Bulk loader = $25
Photoflo = $8.39
Negative Sleeves = $7
Shipping = $53
Total: $145
Do you think this is worthwhile?
Definitely cheaper to bulk roll. A 30.5 ft roll is about 20 rolls of 36 exp film. In factory made rolls, this would be about $180 if bought locally. Also you can roll shorter rolls if you don't shoot as often; I usually shoot 18-24 exp rolls so I can develop straight away instead of waiting till the next time I shoot (which might be a week or two).
Also why not buy more film if you can afford it... the shipping rate is almost the same, seems a bit much to pay $50 shipping for $100 of film product.

Hi, I'm planning to attend this time, but is it going to be in Glebe or Ultimo?

Hi John
I'm right for film at the moment; in fact my consumption is downright slow just now.
And unfortunately I've got another commitment this weekend, so I won't be able to get up to Ultimo. Pity as I really enjoyed that last outing, and the lunch! I do hope to get to the Canberra version of the camera market, run by the local collectors group, at the Irish Club on 4 November.

Ultimo. Where did I get Glebe from? I'm planning to go at this stage.

Hi John
I'm right for film at the moment; in fact my consumption is downright slow just now.I did a quick count earlier this week and have about 80 rolls of 120 and a couple of thousand feet of 35mm B&W in the fridge. I need to use some of this up before I buy any more.

No worries mate. Perhaps the next one. I know where I'll be heading for lunch

I also get mine from B&H NYC as 20 rolls of TRI-X works out much cheaper than getting it in Australia even with costly postage from the US.
I have found B&H great to deal with.

Hi John,
Let me know when you want to pull the trigger. I was about to but some Arista (re-branded tri-x) for pretty cheap, but would really like some HP5. How much would I need to buy for it to be worthwhile?
