Getting more and more wound up with the gallery

As far as I can see, I uploaded one photo last night (Sasha - in Contax II gallery) and one photo this afternoon (Contax test shot - same gallery folder).


Apparently I've uploaded my maximum 5 photo's???

I don't understand!!!


When I upload 5 photo's I get them in the gallery, and I have a message telling me I've reached my maximum 8 photo's if I try again within 48 hours. I'm not sure what's going on but I think the software really has errors.

I've also had to delete shots with the same name (all my shots are in seperate folders "untitled-x_sm.jpg" where x is a number) as the system is not giving each a unique identity after upload, and this has caused more than one shot to be overwritten without warning.


Not sure where there are bugfixes for all this, but since paypal blacklisted my debit card and address I can't even subscribe to RangeFinder Forum to try and have full gallery priviledges!!

did you select several different categories for each pic? In my experience, each category counts as an upload.

I tend to use flickr for my online gallery, it's much easier to use

Yea I selected option categories. I considered the optional categories as simply links, not their own upload?

That was my mistake as well. Pick one category and you can upload your 5 pics a day.

Well I often use photobucket to upload images, then post them on blogs or for linking here, but it seems 'nice' to have a select number of images accompanying my account here. Seems excessive to have to upload to flickr *as well*. Maybe it's because it's yet another community I have to become a part of.

Is that why some photo's apear twice/thrice in the gallery 'recent photos' view??? I took a look Ash, & your contax test shot shows up three times...

Thanks for the work around ManGo... I rarely use the gallery here, but I often wondered what was up with the repeat pictures... Sometimes I'm on a dial-up connection & it has disuaded me from browsing the gallery pics...

Ah well sorry everyone who's seen the photo three times! I guess I could only see it once, even on the recent photo's thing, which also confused me. In future I'll only click one category
