I get fantastic results with my CV 28mm f/1.9, but, I just disliked the lateral wobble of the front f/stop part. (it was only a few mm left to right). I was told that a set screw is used to lock the outer shell in place after lining it up with the inner Optical Block. Makes sense to me. I figured it was something like that. I'm sure Brian can explain it better.

So, I will get in 2 weeks, since there is a local camera repair shop 45m away :) and for $68.25 + tax :D... Sorry Tom, $150.00 was a bit much at this time.

This the 3rd thing I had Bob work on... the 1st 2 were a SLR CLA and a SLR lens CLA...

www.camerarepairs.com In Central Indiana..... Bob is the owner/repair man.

In the mean time, I still have a 28 with my SLR if I want a wide view.

Sometimes, it just worth keeping up with minor maintenance trips.
