Next week I'll be taking my Contax G1 to the local repair lab to have the manual focus wheel adjusted so it is less prone to rotate at the slightest brush against my body.
I read elsewhere of repairemen who were able to add an extra washer under the focus wheel to make it harder to turn.
Has any one here had an experience with this type of repair? Any suggestions or advice from that experience?

Try http://contaxg.com/document.php?id=29700. I, on the other hand, unscrewed the 2 tiny screws in the focus wheel, pressed the wheel deeper, and screwed them back in. It's tight now.

Thanks! That sounds easy enough.

Took the instructions above to my local repairman. He said something was missing in them, but he was able to improvise. He did a great job and the focus wheel now feels great!
