Hi all, I have some scans from BW films and I'd like to print them - I was thinking about some online service. Does anyone have any suggestion about who can print them and about resolution, contrast, strength of blacks etc? The quality of the scans is not very high but I'm thinking about getting small prints to send around to friends - nothing fancy...
Any thought or experience is appreciated!

I've used Costco to print B&W scans. If you have the necessary software (and you have access to a Costco store) you can download printer profiles for each of their stores and export JPEGS using them (I do this in Adobe Lightroom). When doing this I crop specific to the size I'm printing in Lightroom and then export. I then put the photo's I want printed on a USB flash drive and take it in. When I turn in the job, I let them know that the colour profile is set for a specific one of their printers, so that they turn off some (all?) of the auto-correction features. I've been quite happy with the results, and it is convenient.
