Got a smaller European record company that wants to use one of my images for a classic CD being released next year. 🙂

Initial release is for 1,000 copies with a distribution in Europe only (with the possibility of further releases, posters, etc).

Does anyone out there know of any standard forms that I could download to 'fence in'/restrict the rights of their use of the photo.

The photo is the one below - not taken with a RF though but rather with my old Hasselblad 500c/m:

Richard, congratulations !!!

This is really an outstanding photo!!! It's the same place where you took the picture of your dog, isn't it ?

I'll stay tuned, who knows, maybe someday I'll see your picture while shopping CD's in the FNAC 😉

i don't have a site for you, sorry.

i think what you are looking for is a 'one time use' agreement, which allows them to use the photo for a specific one time purpose and they pay you a one time fee.

this is when knowing a lawyer comes in handy.

nice shot btw.

Thats a great shot. My problem is that I dont have the patience to set up for such a nice shot. Congrats !

Joe, they had a contract that I'm to fax back next week so no worries. Tomorrow I'm spending some time fine-tuning the file I'm sending over.

Jorge, it wasn't really all that 'involved'. Slam the camera onto a tripod. Wait for some light and there ya go. No filters, no fancy stuff at all really. Damn cold though and if memory serves me right it was before 7am as well :-( I still remember the waves filling up my sneakers and soaking my socks as I stood waiting for this one though.. yuck..

Thanks for the nice words.
