Hi all!

I found some yellow stains on my plastic floor, I pretty sure it's fixer but it might be D76.

Rubbing does not seem to help. I tried alkaline soap, spirit vinegar (acid) and paint thinner.

Any suggestions? :(

I haven't tried this but I would try some laundry oxygen soaker for babie's nappies (diapers). Sold as a powder. Main ingredient percarbonate. Make a very strong solution and leave it on for a while, and renew it frequently (because the bleaching action diminishes quickly). It is a bleach but gentler than chlorine which can be very destructive when used strong.

The problem with plastics is that they are actually a lot more porous than they seem.

The chemistry of developers is not unlike that of hair dyes - look for the ability to remove hair dye stains in the product description of stain removers...

Thanks for all the replies!

Problem is that I'm running out time, so I can't really wait for mail order. I'd rather leave the stain than potentially damage the floor with an untested method.
