GF1: 14 Days in Japan (Photos+Video)

And then we get to the elephant in the room: the Ricoh GRX.

I was convinced I was going to pick one of these up with the 20mm pancake, but then Ricoh came and pulled out the weirdest little thing ever.

I'm tempted by both: the (relatively) large sensor zooms/wides and video of the m4/3, and APS-C 50mm of the Ricoh. As a die-hard GRD/GRDII fan, the thought of the Ricoh interface makes me lean more that way...

But not enough to actually put my money where my mouth is. Argh!

that has been the stumbling block for me as well. for the record i think they are brilliant cameras and i would love to start working on them but the lack of wide, reasonably fast options has left me on the sidelines. the 14 f2.8 would be a mighty convincing argument though!

for those of you using them what are your feelings on build and durability? reckon they could stand up to fairly heavy use (and possible abuse)?

I bought a GF1 for my wife two weeks ago. Purchased an M to M4/3 adapter as well. The combo was so much fun, guess what, I have another GF1 on order now.

Its a nice little camera and RAW files hold a lot of quality. Metal chassis feels solid.

Brian you stayed at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel didn't you hehheheh. I love Tokyo. Haze free shots all the way to infinity!
