Thanks chaps for the suggestions. I guess accuracy has a price.
Would buying the 'official' adapter make all the lens markings line up with reality or just fix the infinity marking?
I can live with infinity out, but I need 1M to be 1M and so on.

Sorry I don't have a Vogtlander or Rayqual adapter to compare but assuming the adapter is exactly the right thickness, the distance scale on a Leica compatible lens should be fairly accurate.
Think of it another way, the LTM Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar 15/4.5 has no RF coupling (scale focus only) and works on the premise that the lens mount of a compatible body complies to the proper lens flange to film distance, LTM= 28.8mm and M=27.8mm. Same principle applies to a m4/3 body + M or LTM adapter.

Great information. Has anyone tried the Voigtlander LTM 12/5.6 lens on a M4/3 body? Will it be safe to mount (not touch the sensor)?

I only have the CV15/4.5 which works on my E-P1. If memory serves me right I've seen pictures posted taken by the CV12/5.6 on a m4/3 body.
