Makes sense. I bet Olympus Pen 3 will do the same .Pleased that Panasonic and probably Olympus are picking up where the RD1 left off. Will be interesting to see if Fuji's rumored M43 has in internal. Exciting times to be getting into the M43 system. BTW, love the Lumix 20mm 1.7 pancake, that should be lens of the year on this forum.

Is that for real? Looks like the type of thing we used to bang out in grade 10 drafting!

It's just a patent application...but if it happens, that's what we've all been waiting for.

I got the GH1, but I hardly ever use it for video. In my opinion it's really time consuming to do it correctly. HD video, as a medium other than videos of infants taking their first steps, or of cats - it takes time to think of, shoot, sountrack, and edit something, the novelty of HD has passed for me, not questioning the quality of the HD mpegs, but taking a nice image is much more streamline for me. I like the form factor of a rangefinder, so if and when the next generation of M43 bodies come out, I will probably switch to either Olympus EP3, or GF2, or maybe Fuji will come up with something compelling.
These little lenses are great though, and small enough, that when you pull it out, it doesn't scream CAMERA like SLR's - both digital and film tend to do.
At the rate these camera bodies are coming out, and their price point, it's not nearly the cost of a FF digital body, unlike point and shoots, collecting the lenses and moving from one body to another makes a lot more sense. Too bad the Leica M9 has such a premium. $7500 for a body vs. $600-800 a M43 body, and you hold onto your M43 lenses or use adaptors, no brainer. This format is genius.

Samsung has the NX10, which is an APS-C camera.

But in any event, there are likely to be many of these type in the future. I wonder if Canon or Nikon would want to play in this arena.

There is a real market for these cameras. Folks seem willing to shell out another $600 or $700 every few months for the latest incarnation of these bodies, so these companies should make a bundle! Who woulda figured? And you can buy 10 of them for the price of an M9!
