Hi all,
I was on vacation in the fall, shooting away with my GF670 when suddenly I could not turn the frame advance knob. I am not sure where the issue is coming from. I opened the back and wound up the film under my jacket so i could visually inspect inside, nothing out of the ordinary.
I'm looking for some advice, I'm uncertain whether I should take this on as my first repair since I don't know where the issue is yet.
Could one of you post a picture of the shutter in its post-release state? Maybe it is jammed and I can't wind the knob without the shutter completing its course.
Any advice or prior experience would be apreciated.

No experience of this with my (ex) GF670. But a piece of torn film can wedge itself into unusual places and prevent this or that operation, as I experienced with an M4.
If you can’t visually detect an anomaly, might be time to find the GF repair expert. Good luck.

Last night I put in a fresh battery and by pressing hard on the shutter release, I was able to activate the shutter repeatedly. The shutter release button does not depress as it normally would. At least I know it's not an issue with the shutter! I'll most likely be able to see the issue once I remove the top plate.

So I figured out what the issue was and broke something else in the process (story of my life).
I followed this guide on how to remove the top cap:
There was a piece of dirt stuck in the grease of the winding knob gear. To get a good view, I had to remove the plate above it. Of course, this was also holding down an extremely flimsy ribbon cable!!! I tore it with an accidental gesture. I reassembled the camera and put in a dummy roll. The sensor at the end of the ribbon cable is to detect the state of film advance and tell the shutter it can fire when the release is depressed. Now that the cable is broken, I press the shutter release but the shutter does not fire. I can then advance to the next frame but the film is of course not exposed.
I'm going to start emailing for a replacement but if anyone has a history with getting GF670 parts, please send me a message!!

The Voigtlander / Fuji 667 folders and wides are both exceptionally complicated and difficult to repair, even for experienced repair techs.
Generally parts are not sold separately.
FYI repair techs generally will not waste their time trying to guess what mistakes were made by a DIYSer.
Fuji no longer services them in the US.
Voigtlander will not repair Fuji branded 667 cameras.
Stop before you break something else and send the camera back to Japan for repair.
JapanCameraHunter can likely get it repaired for you, for a price.

Thanks for the advice, I'm in contact with Bellamy to have it serviced at fujifilm.
