Hello,

I have a GH5 with many Nikon G lens adapted with a metabones (as Nikon photo user).

I would like to buy a new 28mm manual focus to use with GH5 (hope to buy a LEICA Body in the next future to use for photography), and I scout these lenses (56mm equivalent):

- 28mm ELMARIT 2.8 ASPH (last or the version before)

- 28 summicron 2 ASPH (the version before the last in production)

How these lenses will performs on GH5 (for video and for still)?

All the best, from Italy

It is generally understood that SLR lenses are better than Rangefinder lenses on digital cameras. This is particularly the case for lenses less than 40mm. I just tried my 35mm Colour Skopar on my Pen-F and the images were smeared.

I’d recommend the 7Artisans 25mm f/1.8 lens in micro-4/3 mount. Costs less than $80. 9-bladed curved leaf aperture. Gives you a 50mm equivalent field of view. Combined with an ND filter you can shoot wide open in bright light for nice bokeh. Focuses to within about 125cm. Good build quality.
