gIII ql17 eyepiece is loose

The eyepiece is loose on my ql17. On the check battery button side, it sticks out from the camera body, just enough to make me worry that its going to come off very soon. If I push it back into its proper place it just springs back. What is the best way to secure it? There are not any screws visable and it doesnt want to slide to the left or right to lock in place, any ideas?

You can probably get at it from the inside. The top comes off very easily. There are some threads on this site that explain how to remove the top. It's about a 10 minute job.
