Give us a sample picture from your Yashica

Heldur, I regularly use Kodak's C41 BW film. I like it a lot. The advantage is you can take it to any processing lab and have it developed and printed. Conventional BW is nice and I use it too.

FWIW check out Ilford's XP2 which is also a C41 BW film. It's character is entirely different and you may like the looks of both these films used as the character of the shots dictate. Good luck. The Yashica GS/GSN is a great camera and I still use mine a lot.
 
jan normandale, steam runs on that line all year except for maintenance during February. It's a restored branch line no longer connected to the main rail network.

martin-f5, it's a great camera. I also had a GSN given to me, just waiting for a POD repair.

These are a bit special and don't come out every day. The one in the background has just undergone a £300k restoration.

Hi Jan, I was using my Yashica Electro 35 GSN. A couple of the shots above have been tweaked, cus before that they came out rather underexposed.

The GSN is really one of the most underrated fixed-lens RF out there. You can get really pleasing results with the 45mm Yashinon f/1.7 lens.

First roll taken on my new GX with Velvia 100. Scanned at home on a Canon MP810. Would like to see what a better scanner could do - some of the colours came out a bit dodgy I think.

One of those autumn days... newly arrived Electro, first roll. Shutter a bit sticky on longer exposures, but will be ok after some gymnastics..

My first roll of film ever on my first analog rangefinder ever. Bad scanner and bad handling of the negatives managed to give me this:



If I shot this with my dSLR, I would have thrown it away immediately, but analog film somehow broadens my standards and lets me find hidden gems like this.
